Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is closing in on Petr Cech, after vowing that the keeper WILL be his No.

England whizkids Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane are treading very different paths, the former wanting away from Anfield and on Man City's radar while the latter is committed to Spurs. Abroad, Mario Mandzukic is likely to start the striker merry-go round, as he heads to Champions League finalists Juventus. We're still awaiting that first blockbuster transfer of the summer, but there are some things which are getting closer to fruition.

That will send Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors - unless Atletico Madrid or PSG can persuade him otherwise. Harry Kane will also be staying in North London next season, having committed his future to Tottenham despite Manchester United's interest. Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is confident of completing the deal, with the two clubs are understood to be close to an agreement which could be rubber-stamped within the next couple of days.

9:23 am David Maddock Liverpool ready to call City's bluff over Sterling Liverpool are ready to call Manchester Citys bluff on their claim they have made a final offer Forbrukslån for studenter Raheem Sterling.
"That is the way people have to see it. The Reds rejected that bid - worth 40million - for young England star Sterling this week, and now they will make clear they expect that to be the end of the matter, as it was supposed to be a take it or leave it deal.

"Tottenham are one of the big clubs. The 21-year-old forward, who scored 31 times in his breakthrough campaign last term, says he fully intends to stay at the north London club this summer, hailing Spurs as one of England's "big clubs". if the Blues were telling the truth that they would walk away if that improved offer was refused.

And their message to deposed Premier League champions City couldnt be simpler: Shut up OR pay up. The Reds have to pay 20 per cent of any fee they receive for Sterling to his first club, Queens Park Rangers.

It puts the ball firmly in the opposition court, with the Mancunians unable to proceed unless they return with a new offer which gets close to Liverpools valuation of the winger. Liverpools American owners are sick of the circus that has sprung up around the talented 20-year-old. They are hoping that by bluntly telling City their 'final' bid is the end of the matter it will quieten the noise around the situation.%
